Glen Elgin 2008 - 2023, 15y, Wilson & Morgan Barrel Selection, 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt finish, #806574, 339 bottles... a rich & deep Speyside single malt: the final 30 months in an Oloroso cask have contributed to its very autumnal profile. At the nose, it’s very winey, with dried fruits & marked nuttiness, but also orange peel and a lively spicy undercurrent. At the palate, it’s just as winey and sherried: the more water you add, the more it exhibits notes of oranges and tangerines.
