Midleton Very Rare 2008 Selection, Master Distiller Barry Crocket; lend of pot still and grain whiskey, aged from 12 to 25 years in ex-bourbon barrels. Each year there are only a limited number of casks used, around 50 or fewer, hence the Very Rare part! As the blend is changed every year and is dependent of the personal vison of the Master Distiller, no two years’ expressions are ever the same. The 2008 release is therefore a blend of whiskies distillery from 1996 all the way back to 1983.
